Basketball Game Preview: Lakeland Cavaliers vs. Manor Mustangs

The Lakeland Cavaliers and the Manor Mustangs will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Monday, Lakeland had to suffer through a 59-27 loss at the hands of Lake Taylor. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubrianna Paiz put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted eight points. Paiz is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Manor put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Norview 60-22. Fans of the Mustangs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Manor's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Lakeland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Lakeland might still be hurting after the 60-38 defeat they got from Manor in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Lakeland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
