Basketball Recap: Fayette Academy Vikings vs. Hardin County Tigers        
        
		
             Fayette Academy waltzed into their matchup  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They secured  a  46-42 W over the Hardin County Tigers. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the   73-59 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in December of 2023.
 Fayette Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Zane Pike, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and 17  rebounds. Pike has been hot , having also posted two or more  blocks the last seven times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Clay Anderson, who  had 11 points along with two  steals.
 Fayette Academy  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in three consecutive  matches.
 Fayette Academy's record is now 5-1. As for Hardin County, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 2-1.
 Fayette Academy has  already played their next  game (against Hardin County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hardin County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Scotts Hill at 7:30  p.m.  on December 16th.
