Tommy Ames Game Report: @ Lowry

Tommy Ames put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Saturday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out three batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

Ames' strong effort led Churchill County over Lowry and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
