Baseball Recap: Christian Fellowship's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Christian Fellowship had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They never let the Heartland Mustangs get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Christian Fellowship also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

Noah Prill and Brett Conklin were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Prill tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Conklin tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Prill went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Conklin got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Prill is becoming a predictor of Christian Fellowship's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Wyatt Jennings was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson File, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Christian Fellowship always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Christian Fellowship's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Heartland, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

As of now, neither Christian Fellowship nor Heartland have any future games scheduled.
