Baseball Recap: Eastern York Comes Up Short

Eastern York started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Middletown. They fell 5-1 to the Blue Raiders on Friday.

Eastern York saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock Adams, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Eastern York has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Middletown, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Eastern York is taking a road trip to challenge Delone Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Middletown, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. The Rams will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Blue Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
