Cresskill took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against New Milford, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Knights on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three contests in a row.

Cresskill's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for New Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Cresskill will challenge Secaucus at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for New Milford, they will head out to take on Lyndhurst at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
