Baseball Game Preview: Pioneer Valley Panthers vs. Atascadero Greyhounds

For the second straight game, Pioneer Valley will face off against Atascadero. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Greyhounds at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Pioneer Valley came up short against Atascadero on Tuesday, falling 11-2. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Greyhounds: they've now lost three in a row.

For Atascadero's part, Zach Savino was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave Savino a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Uly Kaul, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Savino wasn't the only one making solid contact: Atascadero kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Greyhounds are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Atascadero now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Pioneer Valley, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
