Volleyball Recap: Danbury Comes Up Short

Danbury's tournament run continued when they took on Firelands on Saturday. The Lakers fell 2-0 to the Falcons. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Firelands' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Schrader, who had nine assists and six digs. Peyton Gibson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Danbury's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Firelands, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Danbury has already played their next game (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Firelands, they will square off against Wellington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
