Baseball Recap: Williamston Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Williamston couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the St. Mary's Prep Eaglets on Thursday, falling 8-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

Williamston has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 28-10 record this season. As for St. Mary's Prep, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 34-6.

Coming up, Williamston will face off against Kenowa Hills at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. St. Mary's Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
