Softball Recap: Leipsic Comes Up Short

Leipsic fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Miller City on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4. The Vikings have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Leipsic's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Miller City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Leipsic will face off against Columbus Grove at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Miller City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Antwerp at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
