Baseball Recap: Mt. Whitney Takes a Loss

Mt. Whitney lost against Golden West last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mt. Whitney fell 9-6 to Golden West. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matteo Zuniga was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Orson Gonzales was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Mt. Whitney's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Golden West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Mt. Whitney has already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against Sierra Pacific on the 22nd. As for Golden West, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-7 victory against Porterville on the 25th.
