Bentonville West faced Conway in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wolverines took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wampus Cats. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Audrey Calva paced Bentonville West's offense, picking up ten kills. Calva were helped by Jayden Gribble and Olivia Hamm, who contributed eight assists each. Calva was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Kensey Nichols, who had 16 digs and four assists. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

Bentonville West's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Conway, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Bentonville West has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Shiloh Christian on the 13th. As for Conway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Central on the 14th.
