Football Game Recap: St. Michael's Prep vs. Lutheran

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between St. Michael's Prep and Lutheran. St. Michael's Prep took the match and then some with a 60-6 win on Thursday over Lutheran. Lutheran can consider this payback for the 28-34 defeat they dealt St. Michael's Prep the last time the teams encountered one another.

The contest started off well for St. Michael's Prep, whose offense put up 36 first-half points. Meanwhile, Lutheran couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 36-0 heading into the break. The St. Michael's Prep defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the game. The victory bumped their record up to 3-0. Lutheran are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.

Next week St. Michael's Prep take on Trinity Christian at Pacific Grove at 2:00 PM. As for Lutheran, they will face off against PAL Academy.
