Baseball Recap: Coral Springs Comes Up Short

The Coral Springs Colts came up short against the Neumann Celtics on Thursday and fell 11-6. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coral Springs saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Guthrie, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Luis Comella was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Coral Springs' record is now 10-13. As for Neumann, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Coral Springs will face off against Palm Beach Gardens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Neumann, they will square off against Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Celtics 4, the Vikings 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
