The Liberty Lions will face off against the Brophy College Prep Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Liberty is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Centennial, who was ranked ninth at the time (Liberty was ranked third). The Lions strolled past the Coyotes with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 30-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Stevens, who threw for 203 yards and one TD. Jayden Sanchez handled things on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.
Liberty's run defense was locked in: Centennial could only muster 1.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Brecken Garday for the heroic effort on defense: he. Liberty's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.
Liberty's defense didn't let Titus Hill, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. TJ Foilefutu refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.
Meanwhile, Brophy College Prep fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Higley on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Broncos have suffered since October 4, 2024.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Case Vanden Bosch and Gunner Fagrell. Fagrell had a great game and threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Vanden Bosch was balling out in the loss, rushing for 72 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 272 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes.
Brophy College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Liberty has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 200.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Brophy College Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 166.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Liberty against Brophy College Prep when the teams last played back in October of 2022, as the team secured a 48-10 victory. In that contest, the Lions amassed a halftime lead of 27-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
