Cape Fear Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Lila Hammer. The Hurricanes walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders on Thursday for which the team can thank Hammer, who had 11 digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season.

Cape Fear Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-18.

Cape Fear Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Fear Academy will take on Wilmington Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they will square off against Rocky Mount Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
