Basketball Recap: Sanborn Regional Comes Up Short

Sanborn Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 56-23 loss at the hands of the Merrimack Valley Pride. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 63-22 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2021.

Sanborn Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Merrimack Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sanborn Regional will square off against Plymouth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Merrimack Valley, they will take on Derryfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Derryfield will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Merrimack Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
