Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawrence County). They blew past the Hazlehurst Indians 79-44 on Tuesday. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Despite the loss, Hazlehurst still got an impressive performance from Jakavion Johnson, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Murray, who scored ten points.

Lawrence County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points per game. As for Hazlehurst, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence County will venture away from home to challenge Tylertown at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hazlehurst, they will head out on the road to square off against Enterprise at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hazlehurst is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.
