Baseball Recap: Davie War Eagles vs. East Forsyth Eagles

Davie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Forsyth Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 last Tuesday.

Coy James was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Hunter Potts was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Davie's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for East Forsyth, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davie will venture away from home to square off against Watauga at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for East Forsyth, they will face off against Reagan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
