Basketball Game Preview: Islands Sharks vs. Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines

Islands is 0-3 against Woodville-Tompkins since November of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Islands Sharks will be taking part in a tournament against the Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Islands is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 84-57 loss at the hands of Groves. The Sharks were down 64-41 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Woodville-Tompkins escaped with a win on Saturday against Johnson by the margin of a single free throw, 61-60. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Islands' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Woodville-Tompkins, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Islands was taken down by Woodville-Tompkins 73-35 when the teams last played back in January of 2022. Can Islands avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
