 Cambridge Springs won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Wednesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 10-4 walloping at the hands of the Youngsville Eagles. Cambridge Springs was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Youngsville apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in May of 2023.
 Cambridge Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Owen Riley, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Riley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On Youngsville's side,  David Manning was  incredible,  going 5-for-5 with five  RBI, a  run,  and a  double.  Talon Mesel was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
 Cambridge Springs dropped their record down to 2-4 with that  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Youngsville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
 Cambridge Springs will be playing at home against Rocky Grove at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Rocky Grove has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven  runs per game on average), something Cambridge Springs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Youngsville, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Maplewood at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams will come into the  game having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
