Football Recap: Walter Panas Starts off Right with Win over Port Chester

Walter Panas took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They strolled past the Port Chester Rams with points to spare, taking the game 25-6. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 22-21 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jack Doherty had a dynamite game, rushing for 162 yards and two scores while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Those 162 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Walter Panas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jadyn Middlebrooks and Winfred Wright.

Port Chester's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
