Baseball Recap: Stone Triumphs

Stone gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the St. Martin Yellow Jackets by a score of 10-7. With that win, the Tomcats brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Nolan Scott was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Ayden Obenhaus also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Stone now has a winning record of 4-3. As for St. Martin, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, Stone will venture away from home to take on Long Beach at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Martin, they will host St. Patrick at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Irish have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
