Preview: Harmony Grove Cardinals vs. Bauxite Miners
The Harmony Grove Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bauxite Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Harmony Grove is ranked 93rd, while Bauxite is ranked 69th).
Last Friday, Harmony Grove ended up a good deal behind Mayflower and lost 44-28.
Meanwhile, Bauxite entered their tilt with Hall with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Bauxite simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hall 48-19 on the road. Considering Bauxite has won three matches by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Bauxite's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Perry, who threw for 142 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Ryan Hoskins was another key contributor, rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Harmony Grove now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Bauxite, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Harmony Grove came up short against Bauxite in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 14-7. Will Harmony Grove have more luck at home instead of on the road?
