Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bell City). They never let the Hathaway Hornets get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Aubrie Richard was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Sunni Kelley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Bell City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .857. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win snapped Bell City's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-6 record. As for Hathaway, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bell City will head out to square off against Grand Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hathaway, they will venture away from home to challenge Basile at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
