Football Recap: Rosary Academy Takes a Loss

Rosary Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mater Dei Monarchs, falling 28-6. The Royals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Monarchs from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Rosary Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mater Dei, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosary Academy will welcome Yorba Linda at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so the Royals' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Mater Dei, they will challenge Etiwanda at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
