Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Covenant's 13th in Last 16 Outings

Covenant won the last time they faced Frassati Catholic, and Connor Evans did his part to make sure it happened again. The Covenant Knights walked away with a 58-51 win over the Frassati Catholic Falcons on Tuesday thanks in part to Evans, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Wyatt Webb was another key player, putting up 14 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Covenant is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Frassati Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Covenant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-44 victory against San Antonio Christian on the 31st. As for Frassati Catholic, they will face off against Kinkaid at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. Frassati Catholic is facing Kinkaid at the right time seeing as Kinkaid is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
