Volleyball Recap: Beloit Takes a Loss

Beloit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Ellsworth Bearcats. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bearcats earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Reagan Hansen, who had 15 assists and five digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last eight contests.

Beloit's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 22-8. As for Ellsworth, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Beloit beat Ellsworth by a score of 2-1 later that day.
