Thomas County Central had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Yellow Jackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Thomas County Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 27-25, 25-20, 25-11.

Jaden Crews paced Thomas County Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Crews got some help from Kate Henson and her 22 assists. Crews also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Peyton Reneau, racking up five apiece.

Thomas County Central's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
