Thomas County Central came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time the Yellow Jackets have beaten the Eagles on their court since August 22, 2017.

Thomas County Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 27-25, 25-20, 25-11.

Thomas County Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
