Softball Recap: Minico Takes a Loss

Minico couldn't beat Mountain Home on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Spartans came up short against the Tigers, falling 15-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 on Saturday.

Nye Salinas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maci Woodward, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Minico and nudges their season record down to 4-18. As for Mountain Home, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

As of now, neither Minico nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
