Football Recap: Burgettstown Comes Up Short

Burgettstown lost against Cornell back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Devils fell 18-13 to the Raiders. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burgettstown now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cornell, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Burgettstown will welcome Chartiers-Houston at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Buccaneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cornell, they will take on Bishop Canevin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
