Soccer Game Preview: Glenbrook South vs. Round Lake

The Glenbrook South Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Round Lake Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Glenbrook South's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Warren Township as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Glenbrook South hit the Blue Devils with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Victor Jodlowski, Henry Stephan, and TJ Phillips.

Meanwhile, Round Lake's game on Saturday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Dundee-Crown. The win was all the more spectacular given Round Lake's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Dundee-Crown are ranked 35th).

Round Lake is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matches. As for Glenbrook South, their record is now 12-9-1.
