For the second straight game, Saranac will face off against Peru. The Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Nighthawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Saranac is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

Peru will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Saranac extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Nighthawks. Considering the Spartans have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Seth Petrashune made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Robbie Squier was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Adrian Barnes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Saranac kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Saranac's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Peru, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.
