Basketball Recap: Westwood Finds Playoff Glory Versus White Knoll

It's playoff time, and Westwood had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the White Knoll Timberwolves 71-69. This was a revenge game for the Redhawks: when they faced off against the Timberwolves back in December of 2024, they had to take a 46-42 loss.

Westwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aneya Britt, who went 6-for-13 en route to 20 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. Those six blocks gave Britt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lyric Rogers, who went 7-for-12 on her way to 21 points.

Westwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive matchups.

The win got Westwood back to even at 14-14. As for White Knoll, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.

As of now, neither Westwood nor White Knoll have any future games scheduled.
