Football Recap: Seminole's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Seminole put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 34-28 W against the Lone Grove Longhorns. The win almost wasn't to be: the Chieftains were down 22-8 in the second quarter.

It was another big night for Donavin Garfield, who rushed for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 243 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Garfield is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Seminole's leading receiver Jay Ladd was Garfield's top target yet again, picking up 160 receiving yards and two scores.

Seminole's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Lone Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seminole is set to square off against their familiar foe Bristow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lone Grove will take on rival Victory Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
