Basketball Recap: Odyssey Charter School Comes Up Short

Odyssey Charter School was the 36-26 winner over John Carroll Catholic when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Odyssey Charter School Titans were beaten by the John Carroll Catholic Rams 60-7 on Thursday. The contest marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

John Carroll Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madi Burrowes, who went 6 for 13 en route to 14 points and five assists. Lila Theberge was another key player, going 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points and eight boards.

Odyssey Charter School has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for John Carroll Catholic, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Odyssey Charter School won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Shore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Shore has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for John Carroll Catholic, they and South Fork will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. John Carroll Catholic is facing South Fork at the right time seeing as South Fork is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
