Basketball Recap: Holyoke Takes a Loss

Holyoke entered their contest against Chicopee Comp on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Holyoke Purple Knights lost 73-53 to the Chicopee Comp Colts. The match marked the Purple Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Holyoke still got an impressive performance from Aiden Cabrera, who went 9 of 21 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The contest was Cabrera's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jaycob Andujar, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Holyoke's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Chicopee Comp, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Holyoke will venture away from home to square off against West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicopee Comp, they will welcome Putnam Vo-Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
