Soccer Game Preview: Colleton County vs. Beaufort

The Colleton County Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Beaufort Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Colleton County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Colleton County's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Aiken on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beaufort). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Hampton County on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for Beaufort as it spelled an end to their eight-match losing streak.

Colleton County's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Beaufort, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.

Colleton County was able to grind out a solid win over Beaufort in their previous meeting back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
