Soccer Recap: Bowie Find Success

Bowie hadn't done well against Dripping Springs recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bowie Bulldogs had just enough and edged the Dripping Springs Tigers out 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Bowie is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. As for Dripping Springs, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 4-3-4.

Bowie will face off against Westlake at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Westlake's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Bowie's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Dripping Springs, they will welcome Lake Travis at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Travis will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Dripping Springs surely won't give up without a fight.
