Basketball Recap: Northtown Takes a Loss

Northtown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Holy Trinity Tigers, falling 39-19. If the Pumas were looking for revenge after losing 38-21 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sharokina Montano was Northtown's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Northtown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Holy Trinity, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Northtown won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cristo Rey Jesuit at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holy Trinity, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Holy Trinity Tigers challenge the Ellison Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
