Baseball Recap: Lehman Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cedar Park

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lehman). Everything went their way against the Cedar Park Timberwolves on Tuesday as the Lehman Lobos made off with a 13-3 victory. This was payback for the Lobos, who suffered a 4-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Darren Roberson and Franky Delgadillo did most of the damage at the plate: Roberson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Delgadillo went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Lehman is 2-1 when Roberson posts one or more home runs, but 6-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Gadiel Flores, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Lehman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Lehman and bumps their season record up to 8-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cedar Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Lehman will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cedar Park: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
