Volleyball Preview: North Kingstown Skippers vs. Coventry Oakers
North Kingstown is a perfect 7-0 against Coventry since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Skippers will be playing at home against the Oakers at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in North Kingstown's favor as the squad sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Coventry has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
North Kingstown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Cranston East, who was ranked 11th at the time (North Kingstown was ranked first). The Skippers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Thunderbolts on Thursday. The Skippers haven't had any issues with the Thunderbolts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jayden Yang and Stephen Dufour were among the main playmakers for North Kingstown as the former had nine digs and two aces and the latter had 11 digs and two assists. The dominant performance also gave Yang a new career-high in assists (40).
They weren't the only good server: North Kingstown was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Coventry lost 3-0 to East Providence on Thursday.
