Lake Stevens is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Valley Christian. The Vikings fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Lake Stevens saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Audrey Iseminger had 12 digs and two aces.

Ellie Gregg was a one-woman wrecking crew For Valley Christian. as she had 25 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Gregg has posted since back in September.

Lake Stevens' defeat dropped their record down to 19-3. As for Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season.
