Basketball Game Preview: Silverton Foxes vs. Central Panthers

The Silverton Foxes will take on the Central Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Silverton didn't have too much trouble with Lebanon as they won 70-54. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Foxes.

Meanwhile, Central strolled past Dallas with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 56-42. That 14 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Silverton is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Central, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.

Silverton came up short against Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 59-53. Can Silverton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
