Basketball Recap: Montgomery Central Takes a Loss

Montgomery Central was the 69-51 winner over North Stanly when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberwolves were outmatched by the Comets and fell 62-27.

Montgomery Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for North Stanly, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery Central will venture away from home to challenge Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 75.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Stanly, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bradford Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
