Baseball Game Preview: Tunkhannock Tigers vs. Hanover Area Hawkeyes

The Tunkhannock Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Hanover Area Hawkeyes at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Tunkhannock and seven for Hanover Area.

On Saturday, Tunkhannock came up short against Hughesville and fell 6-1.

Tunkhannock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Gregory, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Hanover Area fell victim to Crestwood and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 11-0 to the Comets. Considering the last time the Hawkeyes couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Tunkhannock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Hanover Area, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.

Tunkhannock might still be hurting after the 11-5 defeat they got from Hanover Area in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
