Preview: Atkinson County Rebels vs. Livonia Wildcats
Atkinson County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Livonia Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Atkinson County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 250 points over their last four contests.
Last Monday, Atkinson County humbled Jeff Davis with a 63-34 victory. Given Atkinson County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Jeff Davis is ranked 521st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Atkinson County found their leader in underclassman Kamari Moore, who scored 21 points. The matchup was Moore's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Savanna Williams, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Livonia had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 32-28 W over St. Michael on Thursday.
Atkinson County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Livonia, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.
