Volleyball Recap: St. John's Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

St. John's Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Northwood Academy Chargers, falling 3-0.

St. John's Christian Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-12, 25-20.

Northwood Academy was led to victory by Camacho Melanney and Williams Grace. Melanney had six aces and five assists, while Grace had six digs and two aces.

Looking ahead, St. John's Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pinewood Prep at 5:00 p.m. As for Northwood Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against John Paul II at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
