Baseball Recap: Bucksport Comes Up Short

Bucksport managed to slip by Orono the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Bucks lost 11-2 to the Riots on Friday. Golden Bucks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Riots since on Friday.

Nick Clair was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Bucksport is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Orono, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bucksport is set to take on their familiar foe Foxcroft Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Orono will face off against rival Houlton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
